Chapter 7. More Production Tools > Score window ink effects

Score window ink effects

We've already looked at the ink effects that can be applied to graphic Cast members in the Paint window. Many of those effects also show up in the Score window, as do a few you won't find elsewhere.

The main distinction between Paint and Score ink effects is that the latter are temporary conditions; you can change the ink of a sprite at any time. A Score effect does not overwrite any inks permanently applied in the Paint window; rather, the two work in conjunction. There are 20 Score ink effects and 18 inks in the Paint window, for 360 possible permutations—and since several Score inks change in relationship to other elements, the actual number of variations is practically unlimited. You'll find the Score ink effects in a pull-down menu in the Sprite Toolbar or on the Sprite tab of the Property Inspector.
