Points to remember

Way back in Chapter 5, you got acquainted with the basics of Shockwave, information you needed to know to convert your Director movies to Shockwave movies. In the last chapter, you got the hang of manipulating data in a networked environment, using NetLingo and some of Director 8's powerful capabilities. Between those two chapters, you've picked up quite a bit of Lingo and Director programming techniques. Now it's time to take a closer look at Director 8's tools and techniques for incorporating Shockwave productions into the networked environment. We'll start with a survey of browser-related NetLingo, and then we'll examine Shockwave's asynchronous streaming features. Finally, we'll examine general Shockwave-related issues.
