Points to remember

In the last chapter, we got as conceptual as we're going to get, exploring the logical structures implicit in Director's operation. Now we're going to begin the descent back into the nitty-gritty of Director-based production, and of Lingo script writing in particular.

In this chapter, you'll encounter definitions and discussions of the elements involved in writing Lingo scripts: the special terms and syntax of this versatile scripting language. You'll also put your newfound knowledge to work immediately on tutorial projects that use Lingo to pack a lot of interactivity into single-frame Director movies. You should emerge from this chapter with a good grasp of the grammar of scripting and at least a conver sational command of the Lingo dialect.
