Saving the Page

When you've added a few items to your new Web page, it's a good idea to save it. Saving files in GoLive is pretty much like saving them in other applications you have used.

To save a Web page:

Choose File > Save (Command-S on a Mac or Control-S on Windows) and navigate to a folder where you want to store your new page.

When you choose Save, GoLive presents the default file name, untitled.html. Though you should change it to something more appropriate, be sure not to remove the .html extension, or to add spaces or slashes (/) within the file name. HTML files must follow this naming convention to be recognized by servers as Web pages. Even if you're using a Mac, where file name extensions usually aren't important, keep the .html extension.
