Chapter 9. Working with Frames > Adding Noframes Content

Adding Noframes Content

Not all Web browsers support frames: 2.0 versions of Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer don't, and neither do text-only browsers like Lynx. Using the <noframes> tag, you can design your pages so that browsers that don't support frames will display a frameless version of your page. The <noframes> tag encloses HTML that is displayed when a non-frames browser accesses the page. You can create a complete, frameless version of the page, or a simple message directing the user to a non-frames version of your site, or to a frames-capable browser.

Adding a <noframes> element to a frameset in GoLive requires you to work with HTML source code; you can't do it in the Frames Editor.
