Web Settings

All of the tags, characters, and styles GoLive provides for constructing your Web pages are stored in a database called Web Settings. When you work with tags, GoLive uses Web Settings to specify these tags and their attributes. The software's syntax- and error-checking tools depend on the database to check the validity of tags entered or edited by hand in the HTML Source Editor. You can use Web Settings to look up tags and attributes and to add new ones. As HTML evolves, new tags and attributes are likely to come into common use. With Web Settings, you can keep GoLive up-to-date.

Like many other GoLive tools, Web Settings appears as a tabbed window. The Web Settings window contents are available under six tabs. They are Global, HTML, Characters, CSS, XML, and File Mappings.
