Chapter 18. Animation and QuickTime > Animating Floating Boxes

Animating Floating Boxes

Any text or object that can be put into a floating box can theoretically be animated. Practically, however, you should not attempt to animate tables and layout grids. In most cases, you will be animating images. The optimal objects for animation are GIF images with transparent backgrounds because they show just about all of the underlying page beneath them as they chart their course across your page.

Before you can animate, you must first add and configure the objects that are to be animated, along with the floating box that will contain the animated content.
