Lesson 27. Using Lingo on the Web > Using gotonetPage to Launch a Web Browser

Using gotonetPage to Launch a Web Browser

You can easily provide your users with a simple, one-click way to reach your Web site for the latest product announcements, updates, or technical support. They don't need to remember or type the URL—your movie gets them where they need to go.

To connect to a Web site directly from a Director movie, you use the gotoNetPage command, which launches the user's Web browser (if it is not open) and goes to a URL, or Web address, that you specify. The syntax of this command is gotoNetPage "URL". You will use this command for the Order Now button on the Fine Dining application's main menu.
