Lesson 26. Using a List Database

Lesson 26. Using a List Database

In the last lesson, you built a property list—a variable that acts as a database—to associate name codes with the locations a user can choose from the Nile Photo Notebook menu. In this lesson, you will complete the project by creating a handler to access the values of the variable and update the stage based on the user's choices.

If you would like to view the final result of this lesson, open the Complete folder in the Lesson26 folder and play Nile2.dir.

Figure . The Nile phote Notebook offers four views of five different areas along the Nile. Clicking the name fo a location calls up images form that destination. Clicking a direction on the compass shows that part of the area for the chosen location. The user's choices trigger a script that combines the direction choice with the location choice to display the correct view form the cast.
