Lesson 3. Reversing Animations

Lesson 3. Reversing Animations

Throughout the next three lessons, you will create a small multimedia travelog, bringing together sound, graphics, text, animations, video, and interactivity. You will work on different parts of the presentation in each lesson.

In this lesson, you will set up basic movie properties and create a small portion of this project. You will start by importing some media elements, setting the movie tempo and the color of the stage, and putting a few of the elements into the score.

Figure . Your next Director project will take you on a fantastic journey. You will bring to life the sights and sounds of the Taj Mahal as you build a small multimedia travelog of your own.

You learned to create bulleted text animations in the last lesson. Here you will create an animation that moves an image onto the stage; then you will reverse the animation to show the image moving back off the stage.

If you would like to view the final result of this lesson, open the Complete folder in the Lesson03 folder and play TajMah1.dir.

To give you a jump-start, part of the travelog piece has been prebuilt for you. Many of the media elements have been assembled in the cast, and one of them—the TajMist image—has been sequenced in the score. The prebuilt movie, Start.dir, is located in the Start folder in the Lesson03 folder.
