Lesson 7. keyframes and layers > Playing Selected Frames Only

Playing Selected Frames Only

Sometimes it is useful to look at only a part of your movie. Rather than playing the whole movie to view a selected part of an animation, you can select just the frames on which you want to concentrate. Playing selected frames of a movie is an effective troubleshooting technique you can use to pinpoint the frames of an animation that do not appear as you'd like during movie playback.

On the control panel, you can click the Selected Frames Only button to play back only a range of frames that you have selected in the score. You can then also select Loop Playback, so the playback head automatically loops back to the beginning of the selection after it gets to the last selected frame.
