Applying the Cursor

Earlier in this lesson, when you used the Behavior Inspector to attach cursors using behaviors, you were able to select only from among those cursors that are currently installed on your system. Although it is possible to install new and different cursors and then choose from among them, there is no way to tell whether the same cursor will be installed on another user's system. A better way is to create a custom cursor, as you have done here, since you can guarantee that the new cursor is available to any user who plays your project on any system.

You must, however, use a bit of Lingo script to make your custom cursor usable. Although you cannot choose your custom cursor with the Behavior Inspector, you can let the Behavior Inspector write most of the code for you and then slightly modify it. In this task, you will modify the Cursor In behavior you already created so that your custom cursor is displayed when the mouse moves over the sprite on the stage.
