Chapter 17. Scripting Lingo > Using the Message Window

Using the Message Window

Director's Message window allows you to execute and evaluate Lingo commands and expressions immediately, simply by typing them. The Message window is also a very useful tool for debugging scripts.

To execute commands from the Message window:

1.
Choose Window > Message to open the Message window.

2.
Type a valid Lingo command or expression and then press Enter or Return.

Type go to frame 15 to move the play-back head to frame 15, for example (Figure 17.43).
