Setting Movie Tempo

Director plays your movie at a particular tempo, or speed, which you can easily adjust. The movie's tempo is measured in frames per second (fps). The higher the tempo rate (15 fps, 24 fps, 30 fps, and so on), the faster Director plays back animation. With a high tempo (say, 60 fps), you can make sprites zoom across the stage; you can use a low tempo to create a slow-motion effect.

The fastest theoretical tempo Director 8 supports is 999 frames per second, though it's unlikely any movie could actually play at this rate.
