Chapter 11. Adding Text > Creating and Editing Regular Text

Creating and Editing Regular Text

Regular text (often just called text in Director) offers the most flexibility and versatility of any text in Director. It provides the most extensive formatting controls and can be anti-aliased to minimize jagged edges on large characters. You also can set regular text so that users can edit it during playback. Regular text is the only kind of text you can use in Director for automated hyperlinks.

Creating text directly on the stage is the quickest, most straightforward method of incorporating text into a movie.
