Chapter 10. Adding Digital Video > Setting Digital Video Properties

Setting Digital Video Properties

Digital video cast members have a wide range of properties you can set to affect various aspects of playback performance and appearance. Some of the most commonly used properties can be set in the Property Inspector window.

There are some differences between the properties available for QuickTime and AVI videos; generally, more properties and flexibility favor QuickTime. If you need to access and set the full range of video cast member properties, you'll need to write Lingo scripts instead of using the Property Inspector. (For a complete list of video properties, see the Lingo by Feature section for Digital Video in Director's Help system.)
