Incorporating Video

Unlike sounds, which you place in special sound channels, you incorporate video cast members into your movie by placing them in the sprite channels. You then adjust sprite duration and various playback options to tailor the video to your requirements.

To place digital video in a movie:

1.
Choose Window > Score.

2.
Drag a digital video cast member from its Cast window into a sprite channel at the frame where the video should begin playing (Figure 10.9).

For the video to play to completion, it must occupy enough frames in the score to match its playing length; otherwise, it ends prematurely.

3.
Position the video sprite on the stage by dragging it (Figure 10.10).

4.
Play the movie to test the video.

5.
Adjust the number of frames, if necessary.
