Chapter 16. Adding Behaviors > Modifying Behaviors

Modifying Behaviors

Some behaviors come ready to use without modification, but most need a little tweaking to fit your needs. Modifying a behavior is simple, especially if you adjust the behavior before you assign it to any cast members, sprites, or frames.

To modify a built-in behavior:

1.
Choose Window > Library Palette to display the Library Palette.

2.
Drag a behavior to a cast window (Figure 16.22).

3.
In the cast window, double-click the behavior.

The Behavior Inspector opens, containing the selected behavior.

4.
If necessary, click the small triangle to open the editing pane (Figure 16.23).

5.
In the editing pane, use the Events and Actions pop-up menus to change which events trigger which actions and/or to add new events and actions (Figure 16.24).
