Chapter 9. THE PRINCIPLE OF MASS SIMILAR > Finding Brand Names in the First Pla...

Finding Brand Names in the First Place

Go to Google Labs (http://labs.google.com) and choose Google Sets at http://labs.google.com/sets. Here you should enter all the different types that you know of and choose a result set: small or large. Then if you've given Google enough information it'll pull together a list of related items, and if you're lucky you'll get enough information to build queries using the Principle of Mass Similar.

Let's use the candy bar example. Try entering Twix, Snickers, and Butterfinger in the Google Sets slots and click Enter. You'll get a long list of candy items that you can use in building your queries.
