Chapter 15. JOB SEARCHING > National-Level Job Finders

National-Level Job Finders

Sure the government wants us all to be employed. We pay better taxes then, right? Links to several federal job resources are available at http://www.dol.gov/dol/jobs.htm (that's the Department of Labor). Note that only a couple of the links are federal in the sense that they exclusively offer government jobs; the other ones are federal in the sense that they're in some way connected to the government.

Another place to start is America's Job Bank, which is available at http://www.ajb.org/. As you can see, in addition to job listings here, there are career tools, assessments, and information on the labor market. The job search allows you to search by state (and some territories not in the U.S.) as well as within a 50-mile radius of a given zip code. You can browse by job category or search by keyword.
