As I said earlier, tables allow you to fine-tune your page and place elements with more precision. Most of the finer sites on the Web use tables not to present rows and columns of tabular data, but to enliven their designs. You might never suspect these sites were using tables.

One thing you'll want to do when using tables as part of your page design is turn off the borders so that it doesn't look like a table anymore. It's easier to work with a table with its borders still on. But when you're ready to fine-tune, follow these steps to turn off the table borders:
