previewing your site

As you work on your file in Trellix Web, you see what it looks like on the screen, of course. But what you see in the program is merely an approximation of how your site will look to visitors. For example, unless you elect to publish the map, there will be no map. Your links will appear in colors, any Web Gems will actually work, and your text formatting may look a little different.

So, to see how your site will look on the Web, you must either publish it or preview it in a Web browser. Actually, as I've said, you should look your site over carefully in both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator/Communicator, becaue there might be some slight differences in how the two browsers display your pages. Both previewing and publishing automatically convert your Trellix Web file to HTML. Often, it's faster to preview it than publish it, and previewing offers the added benefit of not requiring you to be connected to the Internet. Here's how to preview your site:
