summary

In this chapter you learned quite a lot about pictures and how you can use them in your Trellix Web pages. You learned about the different image formats, GIF and JPEG, and what each is good at. You found out about getting pictures from the Web, or from your own photos with a scanner, digital camera, or your local Fotomat. I showed you how to make a photo album Web site and how to add a sequence of photos to an existing Web site. You discovered how to make thumbnails, transparent GIFs, and how to add animations to your pages. You also saw how to add a background to your page and to every page, and how to make text flow nicely around images.

In the next chapter you'll learn about tables, a useful tool that can give you greater layout control.
