adding links

Links are pointers to other Web content, either on your site or on other sites. There are also special links that can be used to create e-mails, download files, or log into far-away computers. You can add several types of links to your Trellix Web pages. In this section I show you how to add the three most common kinds of links. But first, let's take a brief detour to get a little background on the way links work on the Web.

internet addresses

Every Web page has an address—it has to, or no one would be able to find it. In fact, each and every file on every Web site has a unique address, so there can be no confusion about where anything is or what it's called. You see these addresses, also called URLs, all the time in the media, advertising, and product packaging. (Does my laundry detergent really need a Web site? Apparently so.)
