Web-based learning hasn’t significantly penetrated the lower grade levels yet—but it no doubt will, as more powerful computers and broadband connections become widespread in the country’s grade schools, middle schools, and high schools. Until then, students can use the vast resources of the Web to supplement and help them complete their traditional class work.

Look for Your School on the Internet

Many grade schools, middle schools, and high schools have their own Internet sites. If you want to look for your school’s Web site, check out the American School Directory (www.asd.com), which lists more than 100,000 K-12 school sites.
