Codes for Tables

In addition to making pretty text and inserting links and graphics, one of the other interesting things you can do with HTML is add a table. Tables might sound boring, but there are many types of information data (especially complex data) that is easier to understand in a grid of rows and columns—and you make a grid with a table.

The code to create a table, although it looks complex, is quite simple—at least in theory. You start off by enclosing your table with <table> and </table> tags. Then you enclose each individual row in the table with <tr> and </tr> tags, and each cell in each row with <td> and </td> tags.
