Chapter 4. THREATS TO YOUR CHILDREN'S PRIVACY > Now You Have All the Tools

Now You Have All the Tools

In this chapter you have learned about the dangers to kids online, and some ways to protect them. You have also learned how to evaluate when it's safe to let your kids give away personally identifiable information, and when to restrict that information. In this chapter, we have given you checklists for both parents and kids, and a family contract to help everyone feel good about the computing habits of your family. We encourage you to photocopy them and put them in the places where your kids do computing. You might even put a copy in your kids' notebooks if they are using the computer at someone else's house. If you are a teacher, you might want to send these home with the students, or use them to create your own. (Please give Larry Magid credit if you do use, them, however!)
