Once Connected, Always Connected

Your modem and your Internet Service Provider (ISP) link your personal computer to the Internet. Traditionally, your ISP has provided you with a dial-up account. Using a regular dial-up modem and your phone line enables you to do the following:

  • Call your ISP

  • Log in to their server

  • Use their Internet services (e-mail, the Web, and more)
