Part: III Paid Inclusion Programs

Part III: Paid Inclusion Programs

Introduction

Paid inclusion does not guarantee marketers a top ranking for specific keywords. However, to achieve high visibility in the “organic” (also called “natural”) area of search results, most search engines require an inclusion fee for each web site page you'd like indexed. Long-term, paid inclusion is less expensive than paid placement if you can achieve similar positions and number of searches for your keywords.

There are two types of paid inclusion programs: Submit URL and Trusted Feed. The advantages and challenges of each program are more similar than they are different. But unlike with paid placement, the paid inclusion program you choose is not determined by your marketing goals, but rather the architecture of your web site.
