Karen Khanna is a newly hired training manager for Contoso, Ltd., a midsized corporation with 2,500 employees. She has some ideas for improving the utilization of training resources, and evaluating the effectiveness of current training programs. She needs to find all the information she can about the current training offered by Contoso so she can provide a solid justification for any new initiatives she suggests. Fortunately, Karen’s predecessor created a database that tracked students in every instructor-led and e-learning course offered by the training department, and which students were given funds by Contoso for pursuing additional degrees. Better yet, the database is linked to the employee database that provides information about employment status, career history, and performance evaluations.
