Illustrating Patterns and Trends

One of the primary ways to create knowledge with visuals is to illustrate patterns and trends in numeric data. The exponential growth curve of compound interest communicates the importance of savings in a way that a table containing the same data cannot.

Office provides many ways to chart numeric data. You can create charts within any Office application with Microsoft Graph; however, the most powerful way to create charts is with Excel.
