Saving Search Results

After you find the information you want, you’ll often need to save the results for future retreival. One way of saving your results is by saving (and organizing) your links; another way is by saving the Web pages themselves. Saving the links is usually easier and quicker, and ensures that you have the freshest data available. On the other hand, sometimes content is removed from Web sites (such as magazine articles) and you are left with a broken link. This section discusses three ways you can save your results.

  • As links in your favorites folder

  • As links on Web sites devoted to this purpose

  • As files on your computer
