Summary

Working offline is a relatively new idea, and a surprising number of Internet users do not use—or even really know about—the offline features in their Internet programs. More importantly, the availability of faster, cheaper connections, two-phone-line homes, and content that can't be used offline (such as live stock tickers or streaming audio and video) is inclining lots of folks to spend more time online, not less.
