Answering a Call

To talk to someone on the Internet with NetMeeting, you have to call someone or someone has to call you. This section covers answering a call; the next section covers making a call.

When someone calls you, the first thing that happens is that you hear the phone ring. It's not really the phone ringing, though; the sound is coming out of the speakers on your computer. Next, at the bottom right side of your screen, there's a NetMeeting dialog that says who is calling. It also has two buttons: Accept and Ignore. If you don't want to talk to the caller, click the Ignore button. To answer the call, click the Accept button.
