Part IV: Appendixes > Connecting to a Public Folder on Windows XP

C.3. Connecting to a Public Folder on Windows XP

Mounting a Public folder using the iDisk Utility for Windows XP is very similar to mounting an iDisk. To mount another .Mac member's Public folder, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the iDisk Utility for Windows XP from the Start menu (Start → All Programs → .Mac Utilities → iDisk Utility for Windows → iDisk Utility for Windows).

  2. In the Connect window (shown in Figure C-13), click on the radio button next to Public Folder.

Figure C-13. Connecting to another .Mac member's Public folder is as simple as selecting Public Folder in the Connect To section, entering the Member name, and clicking on the Connect button.

  3. In the "Member name" field, enter the .Mac member's name. Notice that the Password field is unavailable.

  4. Click on the Connect button to mount the specified member's Public folder.
