Chapter 15. The Blog Phenomenon > The Blogging Glass House

The Blogging Glass House

In this information age, it is easy for your friends, family, employers, and detractors to find out more about you than you want them to know. More than one blogger has been fired for talking about their bosses or companies in a negative light. Parents have discovered their children's secrets. The wives of married men have discovered more about the husband's lover than the person behind the blog counted on. A blogger never knows who is reading his or her site. It is unwise to divulge too many personal details. What may seem to be mundane details about daily routine and physical location could attract unwanted attention. There are several ways around this.
