All laws are subject to change. This in itself is not unique. In 1776, slavery was legal. In 1876, segregation was legal. And in 1976, neither was legal. But unlike more traditional areas of law, the Internet has novel elements that cause legal uncertainty and volatility, as discussed in the following sections.
