Transitions are nothing new to us. We have already taken a look at the basic transitions of a cross dissolve and a wipe. These two are most commonly recognized from film and television. They can signify a change in time or in mood. Transitions allow for a bridge between Video 1 and Video 2, connecting two clips. Although you’ll get a lot of use out of these two basic transitions, there is a library of other transitions to choose from. We also take a closer look at basic editing techniques on the timeline.
