Review

  • You can perform a crash record to output your sequence, but this method does not provide the precision that many broadcast facilities require.

  • Avid Xpress Pro can add filler to the beginning of your sequence.

  • A file that stores test patterns can be found in the Supporting Files folder, which was included automatically when you installed Avid Xpress Pro.

  • To create audio tone, open the Audio tool and click on the Peak Hold button.

  • You can change the starting timecode of your sequence.

  • If you use the Digital Cut tool correctly, you’ll need a striped tape.

  • Avid Xpress Pro can perform both insert and assemble edits if your deck uses an RS-422 cable.

  • You’ll need a DVD authoring program to create a DVD.

  • Exporting your sequence is another option for outputting your work. Feel free to experiment.
