Part 1. Using Roxio Easy CD Creator > Making a Destination Music Folder

Making a Destination Music Folder

With an audio CD inserted, open SoundStream in the Project Selector.

If necessary, click the Select Source CD button to view your disk contents.

Click the Destination Music Folder icon to select a destination.

Select a file folder in the Destination panel to keep your files and click Select Folder.

INTRODUCTION

The best way to make an audio jukebox on your hard drive is to make a file folder your destination. This will make it possible to extract (save) digital-quality audio CD files as Windows WAV files. Saving them as WAV files will make them easier to use again later in CD Creator and in other Windows programs, such as PowerPoint, Media Player, or any application that uses audio.

TIP

Notice that the default file format is *.WAV. Leave it alone, but click the drop-down arrow to see the other choices: MP3 and WMA. For now, use the WAV file format unless you have very little hard drive space.

Your new destination folder appears in the destination area with a Windows audio file extension—WAV. Click to select the tracks you want to add to the destination folder.

Click the arrow with two music symbols to add them all.

Record the new selections. Click Record.

Click Record in the left panel. When you're done, you can play your library files without the disc in the computer!
