Part 1. Using Roxio Easy CD Creator > Creating a Music Library

Creating a Music Library

In the Project Selector, hover your mouse over Make a Music CD and click SoundStream.

Your tracks should appear in the left panel of SoundStream. If they don't, click the CD icon.

For a destination, click the Music Library icon.

INTRODUCTION

What if you want to keep your tracks available to play or to burn again in different combinations, or even to play them locally directly from the hard drive? There are two ways to do this in SoundStream, each with pros and cons.

Click New to create a new album.

In the Properties dialog box, enter the information for your selection into Album Name, Artist Name, and Genre Name.

Click Create.

Click the newly created album so that it is highlighted, and then click Choose.

Your new album appears in the destination area with a Windows audio file extension—WMA. Click to select the tracks you want to add to the destination library.

Click Add Selected or Add All.

Click the red Record button—the Record panel, which you saw for burning a CD, opens, but you're now recording an album to your hard drive.

Click Record in the panel. When you're done, you can play your library files without the disc being in the computer!
