Part 1. Using Roxio Easy CD Creator > Setting Recording Options

Setting Recording Options

With a compilation open, click the Record button.

If you have multiple recording drives (not CD-ROM drives), pick the one you want.

Adjust the speed by clicking Write Speed.

Set buffer underrun, if available.

INTRODUCTION

Using the basic defaults will work most of the time, but it's good to understand your other recording options. Most of these options apply no matter what type of disc you are creating.

TIP

Although the Optimal setting in step 3 will generally work, and CD Creator will adjust down in speed automatically for disc media limitations, clicking the drop-down arrow to a lower recording speed will reduce errors.

HINT

Buffer underrun is a common feature that lets the program keep supplying data to the drive even if the hard drive hasn't quite kept up. Enable it if available.

Click Copy to Hard Drive First to save a copy to your hard drive.

Click the Options button to open the Options panel.

Testing before you burn is a good way to avoid errors.

Finalizing the disc or closing the disc means no more data can be appended to it.
