Part 1. Using Roxio Easy CD Creator > Creating a Disc Label or Cover

Creating a Disc Label or Cover

Click Start, All Programs, Roxio CD Creator 5, Applications, and then click CD Label Creator.

Select CD Label for your project.

Select an item or element on the disc to modify it. When an item is selected, selection squares surround it.

After you've burned your masterpiece, you might want to cap it off with a nice label for the disc, or perhaps with inserts for the case. Many templates or styles of labels and inserts are available, and CD Creator lets you work with almost all of them.

If you are using a number of elements (CD label, inserts, and so on), on the main menu click File, Print Preview to see how it will look. When you like what you've done, use Save As to use it again.

To revise text placeholders, double-click a selected text placeholder to change the text to what you want.

To add a picture, from the Main Menu click Add, then click Picture (not shown).

The best way to label a compilation of data is to use Format, Change Background (span across both panels) (not shown) to make the insert white.

Select an image file you want to put into the label.

Click Open.

Drag the rectangular corners to resize it or the center of the image to reposition it.

To change the theme, from the Main Menu click Format, Change Theme (not shown).

Choose another look. Note that some are for audio CDs and some for data CDs.

Click OK to apply the theme.

To use the layout you want, in the Main Menu click File and Page Setup (not shown) then click the CD Label tab.

Select the exact industry layout you will print to on the drop-down menu.

Click Apply and you're ready to print.
