Part 1. Using Roxio Easy CD Creator > Creating an Enhanced CD

Creating an Enhanced CD

Click DataCD Project in Project Selector and open a data CD project.

Click File, New CD Project, and select Enhanced CD.

Click the Empty Audio CD Project in the compilation. It's ready for CD audio tracks just like regular music CDs.

INTRODUCTION

An enhanced CD is the best of both worlds—it works as an audio CD to play digital music, and it can also include data for a CD-ROM. With CD Creator, making an enhanced CD is easy.

Select one or more source tracks.

Click Add to add these tracks into the audio CD folder.

Click to highlight the core data folder of the Enhanced CD. Notice the two blank folders ready to accept CD Plus data or Pictures (we'll cover those shortly).

Select your files and click Add to add your data from the disc drive selected in the top panel into the root folder of the new volume (or compilation).

TIP

You can add your files by dragging and dropping, or use the Add button.

HINT

In step 6, the core data folder of the Enhanced CD is the volume number, which is a number generated by the program based on the date—here, it's 021125_1308.

Notice that the status bar at the bottom shows both CD audio tracks and megabytes of data.

Click Record to open the recording options.

Make sure your CD-R drive is selected by clicking Select CD-R Drive.

Click Start Recording to burn data to the disc.
