Part 1. Using Roxio Easy CD Creator > Using the Disc Copier

Using the Disc Copier

Open Disc Copier in Project Selector.

If you have more than one recordable drive, set one as Copy From and the other as Record To.

Make sure a blank CD is in the Record To drive and click Copy.

If you have just one recordable drive (CD-RW or DVD), no problem. Click the drop-down arrow to set the same drive for both Copy From and Record To. Then click the Advanced tab.

INTRODUCTION

Easy CD Creator has a special program that facilitates copying discs, but it will work only with CDs and DVDs that are not copy-protected. A nice feature of the Disc Copier is that you can easily copy your files to a temporary directory on the hard drive first if you have only one CD or DVD recorder, if it is slow, or if you want to make multiple copies.

You can use the default temporary copy folder in My Documents, or click Select Location to choose another folder for reuse again later.

Select Test, Test & Copy, or Copy. Testing is always safer but will take longer to burn.

Click Copy.

To find out more about the source disc, click File, and then click Disc Information (not shown), and see the type of disc in the Copy From drive.
