Importing DVD Video

Click Import DVD Video.

Select the VIDEO_TS folder of the DVD (usually automatic).

Click OK to continue.

INTRODUCTION

Incredibly, with MovieFactory 2.0 you can get MPEG2 video files directly from a DVD! (Except for copyrighted movies.) Insert a DVD into your DVD-recordable drive (you should still be in the Add/Edit Window).

TIP

The first time you import DVD video from a disc, finding the VIDEO_TS folder is automatic. As you will see, however, you can create your own additional DVD folders on your hard drive, making it necessary for you to choose the one you want.

HINT

When you click Finish to import DVD video, it will take a few minutes (depending on the amount of video) for the files to be added to your Add/Edit Video window.

Select one or more video clips to add. (Remember the tips on keyboard click selection options listed previously.)

Click Finish.

DVD video clips are added to the Video Strip. You can drag and drop them to change the order.
