Part 4. Starting to Capture with DVD MovieFactory 2.0

Part 4. Starting to Capture with DVD MovieFactory 2.0

Now that we've worked a bit recording to CDs and DVDs with music and data, we're going to work with movies using a very simple but extremely powerful tool, Ulead MovieFactory 2.0. Remember that on an audio CD, the music is not really a PC file type, but rather a special digital format that can be extracted, or burned. The files we edited or stored were generally WAV audio files.

DVD is similar in that the computer files we store and edit are usually MPG or AVI video files. However, the digital content we burn will be either DVD or its cousins, VCD or SVCD. These are very precise forms of digital video encoded (or converted and stored) on a disc in specific folders and according to very strict rules. They will play on computer DVD-ROM drives and, in most cases, on commercial DVD players.
