Part 2. How to Use Nero 5 > Creating a CD Extra

Creating a CD Extra

Create a new compilation and select CD Extra.

In the CD Extra tab, add information in Album Identification.

Click the Pictures button to add front and back images.

CD Extra is popular abroad, so PAL is the default. Change to NTSC for U.S. audiences, then click OK.

INTRODUCTION

A CD Extra is sometimes called an enhanced CD. It works in a conventional audio CD to play its digital music, and it can include data for a CD-ROM. With Nero, making a CD Extra disc is easy.

HINT

CD Extra is popular in other countries, and different devices have the capability to read these discs differently. To find out more about this format, consult the Nero manual included on your disc.

Click the Audio CD tab to add CD text to the audio portion.

Click New.

Drag and drop your data files onto the New icon in the data portion, not into the subfolders. Your audio tracks can be added as usual to the audio panel.

Click the Write CD button, and click Write to burn the disc.
