Chapter 7. Project 3: Making Sporting Ev... > Getting Ready for Your Shoot

Getting Ready for Your Shoot

Your sports movie begins with the right preparation, including both the technical and creative aspects of your shoot:

  • On the technical front, you need to review the essential equipment to bring to your shoot, as well as think about bringing extra, helpful items.

  • On the creative front, what shots would you ideally like to have in your finished movie? We’ll review what shots are most important to get and a list of other shots that are “nice-to-haves.” Do you need to shoot the whole event? Or just the parts where your son, daughter, or other favorite athlete is playing? We’ll review what shots are most important to get and a list of other shots to think about.
