A1: Choose transition effects from the Effects tab in the Browser and the Effects menu.
A2: Before applying a transition from the Effects menu, you must target the edit point.
A3: Drag the edge of the transition icon; Ctrl-click the transition icon, choose Duration from the shortcut menu, and enter an amount in the Duration window; and open the Transition Editor, and change it in the Duration field.
A4: Use Center On Edit, Start On Edit, and End On Edit.
A5: Selecting a transition and pressing Cmd-C copies the transition. Moving the playhead to the target edit point and pressing Cmd-V pastes the copied transition.
A6: Either Ctrl-click one side of the transition icon and choose Open type of transition from the shortcut menu, or double-click one side of the icon in a sequence clip.
A7: These types of transitions have additional parameters, such as border width and color, that can be adjusted in the Transition Editor.
A8: Choose Unlimited RT and Dynamic.
A9: From the Transition Editor, drag the Drag Hand icon to the Effects tab and release it in the Favorites bin; choose Effects > Make Favorite; or press Option-F.
A10: Ctrl-click the transition in the Effects tab and choose Set Default Transition from the shortcut menu.
